MNR Announce New LMP Car

MNR Sportscars Ltd are delighted to announce the launch of the new LMP-F17 race car.  The LMP-F17 is based on the globally successful and multi race winning F-class Vortx chassis, but with an all new aero body design and some improvements under it’s sleek new cover.

The LMP-F17 is the first car to come from the MNR factory developed in collaboration with official technical partners Garagisti Limited, legendary F1 designer Enrique Scalabroni and fibreglass body specialists Stuart Pease Fibreglass Ltd. The new body provides a huge leap forward both in manufacturing process and aero efficiency, featuring organic shapes and extreme curvatures, designed to move air off the body of the car rather than over it.

The technical collaboration with the former Ferrari F1 Chief Designer is a successful continuation of his chassis and aero design relationship with Garagisti principal Lee Baverstock. The LMP-F17 is the result of a lot of hard work over the winter months by all of the team, with a special focus on developing the small details of the design in particular. “Williams F1 boss Patrick head once told me to never forget that details are engineering” Said Enrique Scalabroni and it’s hard to argue with a man possessing a CV that includes Lemans and F1 success with high profile roles at Dallara, Williams, Ferrari, Lotus and Peugeot Sport.

Marc Nordon, Founder of MNR Sportscars said, “We have come so far from the initial concept and we are delighted with the LMP-F17. Garagisti have been incredible to work with on this project and of course it’s always a pleasure to work with talented people with the integrity and calibre of Enrique Scalabroni.”

The new MNR F-17 will be competing for the RGB class F Championship in 2017 under the works MNR banner with the debut of the car set to be at the Croft circuit in north Yorkshire at the end of May.
